Basketball Recap: Mesivta Beats Valley Torah for Their Fourth Straight Win

Mesivta entered their tilt with Valley Torah on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Wolfpack by a score of 55-44. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 299th in Pennsylvania, while the Wolfpack are ranked 776th in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mesivta to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dov Hirsch, who posted 23 points. The game was Hirsch's sixth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tzvi Bril, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.

Mesivta's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Valley Torah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-14.

Mesivta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-40 loss against Tournament Opponent on the 29th. Valley Torah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
