Volleyball Game Preview: Glenbrook North Spartans vs. Lake Forest Scouts

The Glenbrook North Spartans will challenge the Lake Forest Scouts at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Glenbrook North is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Glenbrook North didn't have quite enough to beat New Trier and fell 2-1.

Glenbrook North started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Glenbrook North's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Connor Chung, who had five digs and two aces, and Jaiden Han, who had ten digs and two assists.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lake Forest's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 2-0 to Mundelein.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-21.

Glenbrook North's defeat dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Lake Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 9-25.

Glenbrook North was able to grind out a solid victory over Lake Forest in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, winning 2-0. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scouts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
