Baseball Recap: Falls City Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Falls City took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Raymond Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Saturday. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 7-1 victory the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The result came thanks to Gavin Bauer's shutout, as he gave up just five hits.

At the plate, Falls City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Collier, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Collier a new career-high.

Falls City's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Raymond Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Falls City will square off against Bishop LeBlond at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Raymond Central, they will face off against Malcolm at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
