Volleyball Recap: Newark's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Newark had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Canal Winchester Indians 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Newark was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-16, 25-20.

Makayla Meister paced Newark's offense, picking up 20 kills. Meister got some help from Peyton Sherman and her 40 assists. Sherman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Newark's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Canal Winchester, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Newark didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Pickerington Central on the 4th. As for Canal Winchester, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Dublin Scioto on the 3rd.
