Football Game Preview: Westview Wolverines vs. Fallbrook Warriors + How To Watch

Westview has gone a perfect 3-0 against Fallbrook recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Warriors at 7:15 p.m. Westview is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Friday, Westview earned a 27-16 win over Rancho Buena Vista.

Westview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matthew Guimond led the charge by throwing for 206 yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of that aerial production (80 yards to be exact) went to Miles Miranda.

Westview's defense stepped up as well, laying out Van Piercy three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Charles Jaskowiak, Gavin Bibler, and JJ Vargas, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Fallbrook beat Vista 40-27 on Friday. The matchup marked the Warriors' most dominant victory of the season.

Westview better keep an eye on Grant Hall. He was instrumental in Fallbrook's win, rushing for 185 yards. Those 185 rushing yards gave Hall a new career-high.

Fallbrook didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Evan Stanley and Waylon Puikunas. Puikunas also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 17. Blake Robinson was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 11 total tackles (1.5 for loss).

Westview now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Fallbrook, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.

Everything came up roses for Westview against Fallbrook when the teams last played back in August of 2017, as the team secured a 41-0 victory. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
