Basketball Recap: Sunray Takes a Loss

Sunray lost against Spearman back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sunray Bobcats had to suffer through a 51-17 loss at the hands of the Spearman Lynx. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1025th, while the Lynx are ranked 197th).

Sunray has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season. As for Spearman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Sunray does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Spearman, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-25 loss against Panhandle on the 10th.
