Basketball Recap: Hutchinson Comes Up Short

If Hutchinson was riding high fresh off their 54-31 takedown of McPherson last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hutchinson Salthawks took a 33-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maize South Mavericks on Tuesday. The Salthawks haven't had much luck with the Mavericks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Hutchinson's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Maize South, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-1-1.

Hutchinson will host South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Hutchinson surely won't give up without a fight. Maize South has already played their next match (against Maize), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
