Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon Comes Up Short

The Mt. Vernon Mustangs didn't have quite enough to beat the Waterloo West Wahawks on Saturday and fell 2-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mt. Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Waterloo West, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Mt. Vernon has already played their next contest (against Solon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Waterloo West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Ankeny on the 6th.
