Volleyball Recap: Lewiston-Altura's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Lewiston-Altura had to endure a five-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars on Friday.

Leading Lewiston-Altura to victory were Kaylee Hansen and Alaina Barkeim. Hansen had eight assists and six digs, while Barkeim had six digs.

Lewiston-Altura's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Zumbrota-Mazeppa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Lewiston-Altura wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against St. Peter on the 11th. As for Zumbrota-Mazeppa, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Anoka on the 11th.
