Preview: Lynn English Bulldogs vs. Malden Golden Tornados

Lynn English put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They really took it to Revere for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-45 victory on the road. Given Lynn English's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Revere is ranked 267th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Pierre Veras continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds. Carmelo Buese was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Malden had to settle for a 57-54 loss against Medford on Thursday.
Lynn English has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Malden, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Lynn English against Malden when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 70-29 win. With Lynn English ahead 44-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
