Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Amat Lancers vs. San Dimas Saints

The Bishop Amat Lancers will take on the San Dimas Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Amat is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.6 points per game this season.

Bishop Amat is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Don Lugo 80-36 on Tuesday. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 35 points or more this season.

Bishop Amat's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rayshaun White, who went 9 of 14 on his way to 23 points. That's the most points White has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Chavez, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Meanwhile, San Dimas lost to La Canada on the road by a 63-48 margin on Tuesday. The game marked the Saints' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

San Dimas' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Bishop Amat, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Bishop Amat lost to San Dimas on the road by a decisive 67-53 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2021. Can Bishop Amat avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
