Softball Recap: Mulberry Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mulberry can now relate to. They fell just short of the Dunedin Falcons by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since March 21st.

Lylah Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Mulberry moved to 17-11 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Dunedin, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Mulberry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dunedin, they will face off against Academy of the Holy Names at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
