It was a proper cat-fight when Abbeville challenged Jeanerette on Thursday. The Wildcats blew past the Tigers 23-2. With that victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Braylon Himel, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Javian Allen also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Abbeville and bumps their season record up to 7-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Jeanerette, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Looking ahead, Abbeville will square off against Midland at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Jeanerette does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
