Volleyball Recap: Secaucus Falls Short Against Ranked Williamstown

Secaucus faced Williamstown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots fell just short of the Braves by a score of 2-1. That makes it the first time this season the Patriots have let down their home crowd.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Secaucus sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 22-25, 25-20.

Lora Kunicki was nothing short of spectacular for Williamstown: she had 22 digs and four aces. What's more, Kunicki posted two assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024.

Secaucus' defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Williamstown, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Secaucus has already played their next match (against Union Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Williamstown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Kingsway on the 25th.
