Volleyball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Hamilton Heights Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Giants of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-0, 25-1, 25-9.

Hamilton Heights can attribute much of their success to Julia Bearman, who had nine digs and four aces. That's the most digs Bearman has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Doak, who had six digs and two aces.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 2-25. As for Hamilton Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.

Marion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Muncie Central on the 11th. Hamilton Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
