Basketball Recap: Arlington Skates Past Louisville with Ease

Arlington won the last time they faced Louisville and things went their way on Friday too. The Arlington Eagles blew past the Louisville Lions 70-32. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Arlington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Britt Nielsen led the charge by going 9-for-15 on her way to 23 points and seven rebounds. The game was Nielsen's fifth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Emerson Timm, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 assists.

Arlington was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Louisville only posted five assists.

The victory made it two in a row for Arlington and bumps their season record up to 18-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.5 points. As for Louisville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Arlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Louisville, they will face off against Boys Town at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
