Basketball Game Preview: Springfield Cougars vs. Strath Haven Panthers

The Springfield Cougars will face off against the Strath Haven Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Springfield will be strutting in after a win while Strath Haven will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Springfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Marple Newtown, taking the game 60-48. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Fightin' Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Strath Haven took on Penncrest on Tuesday. The Panthers came up short against the Lions, falling 65-39. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.

Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Strath Haven, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Springfield couldn't quite get it done against Strath Haven in their previous matchup back in January as they fell 48-41. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
