Basketball Game Preview: Legacy Christian Academy Warriors vs. Brazosport Christian Eagles

The Legacy Christian Academy Warriors will head out to take on the Brazosport Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Legacy Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Legacy Christian Academy strolled past Briarwood with points to spare, taking the game 48-33. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 711th, while the Mustangs are ranked 1459th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Brazosport Christian had to suffer through a 86-48 loss at the hands of O'Connell. The Eagles have struggled against the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Legacy Christian Academy will have to contain Luke Coburn as he made an impact in Brazosport Christian's last game. He posted 20 points.

Even though they lost, Brazosport Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Legacy Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points per game. As for Brazosport Christian, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-6.

Everything came up roses for Legacy Christian Academy against Brazosport Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2021, as the squad secured a 78-27 victory.
