Parke Heritage has gone 8-1 against North Putnam recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wolves will challenge the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Parke Heritage is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Parke Heritage had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt North Central on Wednesday. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Thunderbirds. The victory was nothing new for the Wolves as they're now sitting on three straight.
Jerrid Graves made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Parke Heritage got a massive performance out of Josiah Heck, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Heck has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was BT Luce, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Parke Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but North Putnam ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past South Putnam 5-4. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
The team relied heavily on Brayden Chew, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. He has become a key player for North Putnam: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise.
Parke Heritage's record is now 5-2. As for North Putnam, their record now sits at 4-5.
Parke Heritage came out on top in a nail-biter against North Putnam in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
