Preview: Valley Forge Patriots vs. Rocky River Pirates
Valley Forge is 2-8 against Rocky River since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Valley Forge Patriots will be playing at home against the Rocky River Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Valley Forge is out to stop a 11-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
On Tuesday, Valley Forge ended up a good deal behind Twinsburg and lost 61-45. While losing is never fun, Valley Forge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 707th, while Twinsburg is ranked 215th).
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Rocky River's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 66-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elyria Catholic.
Julian Patti put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Hakeem Zayed, who scored ten points.
Valley Forge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Rocky River, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
