Basketball Recap: Devin Chester Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Locust Grove

There's no place like home for Morrow, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They snuck past the Locust Grove Wildcats with a 61-57 win on Saturday.

Morrow's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Devin Chester, who posted 15 points and six steals. Chester is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Timothy Ramey was another key player, putting up 15 points and five boards.

Loss or not, Locust Grove got some senior leadership from Tyler Jones and Keion Starling. Jones almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Starling went 6-for-9 en route to 16 points and six boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Starling has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cj Lewis, who put up eight points.

Morrow's record now sits at 4-2. As for Locust Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.

Morrow didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-53 victory against Columbia on the 2nd. As for Locust Grove, they have also already played their next game, a 70-66 win against Eagle's Landing on the 2nd.
