Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Eagles vs. Brodhead Cardinals

Jefferson hasn't had much luck against Brodhead recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jefferson Eagles will square off against the Brodhead Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Jefferson is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They took a 65-50 bruising from Evansville.

Meanwhile, Brodhead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-48 heartbreaker at the hands of East Troy. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Trojans are ranked 90th).

Brodhead's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Jefferson came up short against Brodhead in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 55-42. Can Jefferson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
