Soccer Game Preview: Columbia vs. Sumrall

Columbia hasn't had much luck against Sumrall recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Columbia challenge the Sumrall at 7:00 p.m.

Columbia is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Purvis.

Meanwhile, Sumrall came tearing into Thursday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Aggies onto the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Sumrall pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three games. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5-3.

Columbia suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Sumrall when the teams last played back in January. Can Columbia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
