Basketball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 42-22 to the Tse' Yi' Gai Dine Warriors. The Leopards were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dine Warriors earlier this season, when they won 51-43.

Tse' Yi' Gai got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shailene Sandoval out in front who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Sandoval a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiyana Trujillo, who posted five points and 11 boards.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Tse' Yi' Gai, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.

As of now, neither Coronado nor Tse' Yi' Gai have any future games scheduled.
