Basketball Recap: Dayton's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Dayton was riding high fresh off their 81-58 takedown of Jefferson last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dayton Pirates took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Amity Warriors on Wednesday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Dayton's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Amity, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dayton will challenge Scio at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Amity has already played their next game (against Taft), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
