Baseball Recap: Zeigler-Royalton Comes Up Short

Zeigler-Royalton was the 6-3 winner over Johnston City when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tornadoes fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zeigler-Royalton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradden Mays, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Zeigler-Royalton's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Johnston City, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

While Zeigler-Royalton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
