Basketball Preview: Ada Cougars vs. Tuttle Tigers
The Ada Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Tuttle Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ada is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Ada pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 66-65 to Millwood. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ada in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.
Ada's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Devon Maccollister, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds, and Deante Lindsay who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Colombe, who scored five points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
He wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Ada were working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Tuttle's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Weatherford 68-35. While losing is never fun, Tuttle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Eagles are ranked 20th).
Ada's record is now 14-6. As for Tuttle, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.
