Volleyball Recap: Braddock Takes a Loss

Braddock lost against Coral Gables back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Cavaliers. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Braddock was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Coral Gables' winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 26-24.

Gabriel Perez-Malo paced Braddock's offense, picking up 13 kills. Perez-Malo got some help from Adrian Martin and his 18 assists. Yury Marrero-Santana controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Coral Gables can attribute much of their success to William Hardie, who had 16 digs and two aces. Those 16 digs gave Hardie a new career-high.

Braddock's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Coral Gables, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Braddock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Miami on the 2nd. As for Coral Gables, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Varela on the 2nd.
