Big North - Liberty recap October 1, 2013

Passaic County Tech extended the longest winning streak in Big North - Liberty this week by beating Clifton, 27-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Passaic County Tech took down the Mustangs 27-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jared Quintero threw for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 10 yards in the win.

Eastside's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tajh Upshaw threw for 259 yards and Terrence Tate had 103 yards receiving. On the ground Marlon Ebanks chipped in 119 yards. Ebanks helped Eastside's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 83 yards.

Ebanks was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 119 yards on 15 carries as the Ghosts lost to Ramapo. Upshaw also contributed to the rushing game with 52 yards on the ground.

Eastside's Upshaw and Prince Block have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Upshaw has thrown for 441 yards this season, while Block, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 9 catches for 206 yards. Thomas Jefferson from John Iurato's team leads the league in rushing with 829 yards.

Fair Lawn led Big North - Liberty in scoring this week by notching 29 points on Fair Lawn.
