Recap: Weston Trojans vs. Harding Presidents
The Weston Trojans won the last time they faced the Harding Presidents, and things went their way on Saturday too. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Weston made off with a 54-53 win over Harding.
Several Presidents players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Craig Chandler, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hasan Powell, who scored ten points along with six assists.
Speaking of assists, Harding were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
The victory got Weston back to even at 3-3. As for Harding, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
Weston is on the road again on Monday and play against New Milford at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th. New Milford is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Harding will take on Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
