Saturday, 3 p.m. Eastern timeWhy it's big: Saturday's matchup at Ohio Stadium will be the third time Wayne has played in the Ohio Division I championship, with St. Edward as the Warriors' opponent on all three occasions.
St. Edward beat Wayne, 31-21, in last year's title game, as well as the 2010 final. Those are the only two state championships for St. Edward and the only state finals appearances for Wayne.
St. Edward (12-1) advanced with a 45-7 rout of previously unbeaten Stow-Munroe Falls. Wayne (13-0) moved on by defeating then-No. 11 Colerain (Cincinnati), 28-21.
Names to watch: Senior running back
Cole Gest is St. Edward's all-time leading rusher. The Indiana recruit had two touchdown runs against Stow-Munroe Falls, extending his streak of games with a scoring run to 20.
Wayne senior quarterback
Messiah DeWeaver is the highest-rated college prospect on either team. The four-star Michigan State commit was limited to only 103 passing yards total in his last two games, but still has 2,754 yards for the season along with 30 touchdowns and only two interceptions.
