Nevada Union posted their closest victory since March 4th on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Roseville Tigers 3-1. For the Miners, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2021.

Ty Malak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Isaac Arnerich, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

With the win, Nevada Union broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10. As for Roseville, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.

Nevada Union will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
