Basketball Recap: Rice Comes Up Short

Rice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 50-36 to the Blooming Grove Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-33 back in December of 2024.

Rice's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Blooming Grove, they moved to 16-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Rice has already played their next contest (against Scurry-Rosser), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Blooming Grove has already played their next game, a 56-50 loss against Palmer on the 24th.
