Volleyball Recap: Spruce Creek Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

It's playoff time, and Spruce Creek had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the West Port Wolf Pack by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolf Pack, too.

Despite the loss, West Port saw an underclassman step up: freshman Luis Monserat had 29 digs and four aces. Monserat has been hot for a while, having posted 18 or more digs the last ten times he's played.

Spruce Creek is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season. As for West Port, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-12.

Looking ahead, Spruce Creek will challenge Creekside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. West Port does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
