Softball Recap: Sumner Takes a Loss

After flying high against Franklinton on Saturday, Sumner came back down to earth. The Cowboys lost 11-1 to the Vidalia Vikings on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Friday.

Sumner has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Vidalia, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sumner will challenge Slidell at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Vidalia, they will face off against Caldwell Parish at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
