Meanwhile, Lone Jack waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victor by a 5-2 margin over the Roosters/Chicks. With the Mules ahead 3-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Their offense was hitting Pleasant Hill from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.
Green Ridge skirted past Lone Jack 2-1 in their previous meeting back in September of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Green Ridge since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
