Baseball Game Preview: Clovis West Golden Eagles vs. Clovis Cougars

The Clovis West Golden Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Clovis Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clovis West is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Friday just wasn't the day for Clovis West's offense. They came up short against Buchanan on Friday, falling 13-0.

Clovis East hit Clovis with a four-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars lost 10-2 to the Timberwolves. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Clovis saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deep Chohan, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Clovis' loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Clovis West, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Clovis West beat Clovis 6-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Golden Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
