It was close, but on Monday the Pisgah Bears sidestepped the Franklin Panthers for a 2-1 win. Pisgah found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Osvaldo Munoz-Velazquez and Victor Pina were both handed yellow cards.

Munoz-Velazquez and Miguel Angel Gonzalez Perez scored both of Pisgah's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Pisgah's victory bumped their record up to 8-6-3. As for Franklin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12-2 record this season.
