South Tama County fell victim to Benton and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Bobcats.

Marshalltown, on the other hand, haven't lost since April 18th and they too continued that trend. Their defense stepped up to hand St. Edmond a 2-0 shutout on Friday. That's two games straight that Marshalltown have won by exactly two goals.

Marshalltown pushed their record up to 11-4-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for South Tama County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14-1.
