Reavis lost against Evergreen Park back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Reavis sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-23, 21-25, 25-10.
Weronika Kurnat paced Reavis' offense, picking up ten kills. Kurnat got some help from Quetzalli Pichardo-Aich and her 14 assists. Pichardo-Aich was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Reavis now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Evergreen Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Reavis is set to take on their familiar foe Lemont at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Evergreen Park will face off against rival Bremen at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
