Volleyball Recap: Cumberland Valley Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Cumberland Valley put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the State College Little Lions as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

While Cumberland Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-17.

Cumberland Valley was led to victory by Isaiah Sibbitt and Hayden Ackley. Sibbitt had 41 assists and two blocks, while Ackley had 24 digs and two assists. Sibbitt has been hot for a while, having posted 24 or more assists the last 25 times he's played. Aidan Dunwoody also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Cumberland Valley's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for State College, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cumberland Valley will venture away from home to square off against Exeter Township at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for State College, they will challenge Carlisle at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
