Softball Game Preview: Santa Fe Chiefs vs. Lincoln Cardinals

The Santa Fe Chiefs are taking a road trip to challenge the Lincoln Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Santa Fe put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They never let Orrick get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Bearcats: they've now won six in a row.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Cardinals on Monday. Lincoln put the hurt on Tipton with a sharp 11-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lincoln.

Santa Fe's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Santa Fe came out on top in a nail-biter against Lincoln in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 7-5. Will Santa Fe repeat their success, or does Lincoln has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
