Softball Recap: Valparaiso Takes a Loss

Valparaiso was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-3 to Illiana Christian, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Ariyana Bishop made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Delilah Kincaid, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Valparaiso's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Illiana Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.

Valparaiso wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-0 win against Portage on the 3rd. As for Illiana Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-0 loss against Lowell on the 3rd.
