Whitney managed to slip by Clifton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Whitney lost 14-4 to Clifton on Friday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Whitney now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Clifton, they pushed their record up to 5-4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitney will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West at 6:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Clifton, they will venture away from home to take on Troy on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Clifton 4, Troy 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
