Baseball Recap: Freedom Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

There's no place like home for Freedom, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Ashe County Huskies 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Huskies back in March, they had to take a 7-2 loss.

KADEN MICHAELS was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Freedom's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 4-1 (and 4-13 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of CAM UREN, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Freedom's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Ashe County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Freedom will venture away from home to square off against Hibriten at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ashe County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
