Volleyball Recap: Bloomfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bloomfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Kirtland Central Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-2 defeat back in October.

Bloomfield took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-23.

Sophia Gallegos paced Bloomfield's offense, picking up 16 kills. Gallegos were helped by Kailani Mariano and Briyana Biggs, who contributed 12 assists each. Finally, McKenzie Williams kept Bloomfield's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Kirtland Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Bloomfield nor Kirtland Central have any future games scheduled.
