Softball Game Preview: Half Moon Bay Cougars vs. Terra Nova Tigers

The Half Moon Bay Cougars will square off against the Terra Nova Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Half Moon Bay is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Half Moon Bay came up short against South San Francisco and fell 13-8.

Mia Modena was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Miranda Sarabia, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Mills hit Terra Nova with a 11-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers came up short against the Vikings, falling 18-3. The Tigers have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Terra Nova saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bonnie Barrango, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
