Volleyball Recap: Hunt's Run of Five Straight Victories Now Over

After a string of five wins, Hunt's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They came up short against the Southern Nash Firebirds, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Firebirds this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.

Hunt was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Southern Nash work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Makenzie Collins paced Hunt's offense, picking up nine kills. Collins got some help from Savannah Comstock and her eight assists. Addie Bennett controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Hunt now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Southern Nash, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-1.

Coming up, Hunt will take on J.F. Webb at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Southern Nash does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
