Volleyball Recap: Cobre Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Cobre waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Deming Wildcats 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Cobre walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-8.

Hayley Gutierrez paced Cobre's offense, picking up 15 kills. Gutierrez got some help from Isis Dominguez and her 29 assists. Kamera Ortiz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cobre's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Deming, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Coming up, Cobre will be playing at home against Santa Fe Indian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Deming will be paying especially close attention to the Indians' contest: after the Indians face off against the Braves, they'll take on Deming again at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
