Volleyball Recap: Conway Tigers vs. Porter-Gaud Cyclones
Conway saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Porter-Gaud Cyclones. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Madeline Green paced Conway's offense, picking up six kills. Green really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with five. Olivia Drew controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Conway's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Porter-Gaud, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-12.
Coming up, Conway is taking a road trip to challenge Myrtle Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Porter-Gaud, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against James Island on the 27th.
